Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger was born on the
25th of April 1969 in Katy, Texas, Her mother Kjellfridirene (Andreassen), is a
nurse born in Norway, former and midwife of Norwegian, Kven (Finnish) and
Swedish descent. Emil Erich Zellweger, her father, is a Swiss-born engineer.
They were married in the year 1963. Drew Zellweger is Renee's brother and was
born on February 15, 1967. While working in the drama group, Renee became
interested in acting. In Austin she also took an acting course and decided to
study acting as a profession. She was determined to act when she finished her
studies, but Hollywood isn't easy to enter. Renee decided not to leave Texas
and went to audition at Houston to be cast in roles. Matthew McConaughey
(another Hollywood rising star) was her friend while she was filming of Texas
Chainsaw Massacre II: The Next Generation (1994). Renee observed him working on
a project , and she auditioned. She was offered the role in Love , and a 45
(1994). The role was a huge success and earned her enough praise that she
relocated to Los Angeles. Then she was offered a part in The Whole Wide World
(1996) that gave her the biggest break of her career. Cameron Crowe was busy
casting his next film The Whole Wide World, Jerry Maguire (1996),starring Tom
Cruise. Crowe was considering actresses like Bridget Fonda (Camden Diaz),
Winona Ryder (Winona Ryder), and Marisa Tomei when he came across Zellweger's
performance at The Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned Zellweger and was
convinced the actress was his Dorothy Boyd. Renee was able to continue her huge
success with small independent films. She was praised again from critics, and
was confident enough that she was in a position to return to big-budget
Hollywood films. Meryl Streep was the co-star in One True Thing (1998). She
also starred in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) alongside Jim Carrey and
shortly after, began dating Carrey. In the role of the title character in
Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
