Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel SOFER is an American
actress. Her performances include daytime television guests, occasional guest
performances as well as TV-produced movies. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime
Emmy Award for her performance of Lois Cerullo in the soap show General
Hospital. She has been acting as Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS the soap
production The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California,
the daughter of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor as well as Martin Sofer, a
Conservative rabbi. The family moved later to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Sofer
then relocated along with her father David, to Teaneck, New Jersey in 1970. At
the time, however, Sofer was five years old, they lived in Western
Pennsylvania. They lived in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father led Beth
Samuels Jewish Center. She attended the Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern
Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer lived in North
Bergen, New Jersey which was where her father served as the synagogue's Rabbi
Temple Beth El. After having graduated from North Bergen High School in 1998,
she pursued her education at Montclair State College. Sofer played Lois Marie
Cerullo for the first time on General Hospital. Her first appearance was in
1993 as a manager of a band. Her first appearance on television was as Rocky
McKenzie, a daytime soap host on the opera. Sofer is perhaps most well-known
for her character Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15 1993 to
September 24 1996). She was later a guest star on the show (February 7-17,
1997; September 30th - October 2nd , 1997). The role she played as the sexy
Lois won Sofer an award in the form of a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for
Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. In May 2013 it was announced
that Sofer was set to join the CBS soap show The Bold and the Beautiful and
play the newly-created character called Quinn Fuller; her first episode aired
on the 12th of July. Sofer has been a guest as a cast member or guest in a
number of prime-time shows, such as Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She also
appeared in The Chronicle, Ed and Friends. Her first episode aired on the 12th
of July.
